Within a loose echeme the syllables are repeated at the rate of about 2-4\/s and are separated by intervals of about 0.1-0.5 s. Oscillographic analysis of th eosng of the single male studied (in darkness at an air temperature of 22\u00b0C) showed that the opening hemisyllables lasted about 30 ms and the closing hemisyllables about 60 ms.
